“The Gin Devil hosted a fantastic gin-event at The Greyfriar Pub in central Reading early in 2018. The talk was witty, informed and educational without being dry in its delivery. We’re certainly looking to have The Gin Devil back again soon for more gin-related fun!”

“I’ve been to one of Gin Devils talks so far and it was a heady mixture of Gin, food and a really informative talk linking everything together. Just a very cohesive and fun event that I would not hesitate in recommending to anyone. Can’t wait to go to another!”

“We booked the Gin Devil to do the presentation on 7 Deadly Gins as part of an ongoing series of educational talks for staff and customers at the pub and were lucky enough to get an evening of entertainment as well as learning some history.
Daryl worked closely with me to make use of my existing range and made some suggestions on new lines to broaden the flavour profiles of my offering – then we used the feedback from customers at the event to improve our stock.
Gin continues to go from strength to strength and people have asked me for more opportunities to do similar guided tastings so I think we’ll see the Gin Devil again soon.”

“It was a witty and informative evening. A wide range of gins were further appreciated by guidance from The Gin Devil on the flavour profile. It was a pleasure to have the Gin Devil as my host for the evening.”

“Spent a great afternoon tasting several gins and genevers, including some styles that I’d never have picked out myself. Also learnt a lot about the social history of how gin came into, out of, and back into favour. Daryl makes the educational bits fun and it’s never too long until the next sample!”

“This man will lead you astray and you will be remarkably happy about it.
We tried five gins that were all new to me (which is pretty rare), and all were different from each other. I was very surprised that my favourite was one I’d always shied away from before because the botanicals sounded horrible, but mixed together they were glorious.”

“I recently attended a tasting by the Gin Devil and thoroughly enjoyed this. I like the odd tipple of gin but I had never really attended any talks about the spirit. I gained a lot of useful knowledge from attending the session including the history behind the drink and the vast variety of botanicals that can be used during the gin blending process. The session also provided me with good guidance on the types of gin that were most compatible with my taste palate.
The Gin Devil has a wealth of knowledge and is a good host that makes you feel welcome. I would say the tasting sessions are suitable for all regardless of whether you are a new explorer of the gin world or a fine connoisseur. I would definitely recommend attending a tasting if you have not done so already. I know I definitely will be looking to attend another in the future!”

“Really enjoyed the talk and tasting. I drink Gin regularly but it was nice to try some different types that I wouldn’t have done. Overall a really enjoyable afternoon. Thank you!”

“Really enjoyed the talk from TGD – very entertaining and informative. I definitely appreciated the gins more because of his expert introduction. Looking forward to going to another of his sessions, just need to find the time!”

“As much more of a real ale and vodka fan, I never looked at gin at anything more than something quick and refreshing to down with a Schweppes Tonic, usually on a plane going away on holiday. However, I was extremely enlightened about gin at one of Daryl’s tasting sessions, never before realising the sheer number of varieties and flavours out there.
Gin will never replace a nice pint of good British ale as my favourite tipple, but Daryl’s education can be held responsible for my now reaching for a gin bottle before a vodka bottle whenever I fancy a chaser with a pint – and coming from someone with half-Eastern European roots with vodka in the blood, that is saying a lot!!!”
